Caitlyn grew up camping at Rushing River and started bringing friends along on family trips. Her friends loved it just as much as she did, so they planned a group camping trip in August 2021.

Jian was invited, and the weather was terrible. Everyone got completely soaked in the rain and ended up jumping off the dock fully clothed. Jian, meanwhile, had arrived for the weekend with almost no food except chocolate milk and a pound of bacon.

They’ve gone back to Rushing River every summer since. In July 2025, Jian proposed at the falls. They’re now excited to be planning their wedding in British Columbia for July 2027.
